The Russborough Hippodrome will play host to the Kaleidoscope theatre and film programme!

By day, this incredible circular stone building - built in the early 1800’s and topped with a canvas-canopy-covering - will play host to a programme of family-friendly theatre. As evening descends, this historical setting transforms into the Cinema Under The Stars, delivering a programme brimming with awe-inspiring movie-making magic.

Come see the actual magic of science with a show by Explorium. Mark the Science Guy presents an outrageous, educational and downright hilarious science show featuring rockets, cannons, explosions and much, much more. It’ll be KLSD2CP3 gas!

Join Cartoon Saloon for a screening of The Secret Of Kells, the story of the adventures of a little boy, his master illuminator friend and an ancient book, brimming with magic, secrets and mystery.

And they’re back! Púca Puppets presents The Mice and The Elephants in the Kaleidoscope Hippodrome! Hear the beautiful Hindu fable of how small can be just as mighty as large, told using simple paper sets and puppets. Suitable for 3-6 year olds and families.

Before there was Kaleidoscope festival, there was ... Kaleidoscope Collective! A group of spoken word and hip hop artists hailing from Zimbabwe/Nigeria/DR Congo with a shared love of music making, creative expression and infectious energy. Kaleidoscope Collective will be exploring themes of integration in Ireland and celebrating difference through poetry, song and hip hop story telling with individual and group performance

Watch out for 45 minutes of a feast of aural storytelling from some brilliant minds from the Fighting Words programme.
