Important Event Information for Kaleidoscope presented by Glenveagh!

Dear Festival-Goers,

We are thrilled to welcome you to Kaleidoscope 2024 presented by Glenveagh! Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your festival experience.

FESTIVAL INFORMATION – TIMETABLES & MAPS & SHUTTLE BUS:

Download the Kaleidoscope presented by Glenveagh App for Android or IOS for the full festival schedule, map, and to register for AIB TAPPY.

DIRECTIONS:

Location: Russborough House and Park, Blessington, Co Wicklow Eircode: W91 W284

  • From Dublin/M50/N81 route (coming from Dublin): Drive through Blessington town on the N81 and turn right at the Burgage roundabout, then left onto the Kilmalum road. Follow directional signage for festival traffic to enter the site.
  • From Naas/M7/M9 route (coming from Naas): Take the south Naas exit from the M7 junction 10, take the Naas ring road as far as the R411 roundabout, and join the R411 through to Ballymore Eustace. Follow directional signage for festival traffic to enter the site.
  • From Carlow/N81 northbound route (coming from Baltinglass): All festival traffic heading northbound on the N81 will be directed to Ballymore Eustace. Follow directional signage for festival traffic to enter the site.

Note: Cars, caravans, and campervans should follow the festival traffic signs and directions of stewards and Gardaí. There is no right or left turn allowed off the N81 at the L3863 towards Russborough House.

TIMES:

Thursday, June 27th

  • Gates open for campervans/caravans: 5pm-10pm

Friday, June 28th

  • Gates open for campsite and carparks: 9am
  • Main arena open: 2pm
  • No first-time entry for patrons after 11pm.

Saturday, June 29th

  • Gates open for campsite/car parks/campervans/caravans: 9am
  • Main arena open: 8am
  • No first-time entry for patrons after 11pm

Sunday, June 30th

  • Gates open for campsite/car parks/campervans/caravans: 9am
  • Main arena open: 8am
  • No first-time entry for patrons after 8pm

SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE:

We’ve got you covered with our pay-as-you-go shuttle bus service to and from Kaleidoscope presented by Glenveagh! Running every 45 minutes between Murphy’s Pub in Blessington Village and Russborough House.

Shuttle Bus Times:

  • Friday: Starting at 1pm; last return bus leaves Russborough at 10:30pm
  • Saturday: Starting at 9am; last return bus leaves Russborough at 12:30am
  • Sunday: Starting at 9am; last return bus leaves Russborough at 10:30pm

Cost: €5 per trip for adults; children under 18 ride free!

AIB TAPPY WRISTBANDS:

We’re delighted to partner with AIB to bring AIB TAPPY to Kaleidoscope 2024, offering a convenient payment option across the festival. Each wristband includes an RFID chip, and there are multiple ways to top it up using cash, card, or contactless payments.

Top up in advance on the app or festival website HERE, on-site at the AIB TAPPY Hub, self-serve top-up machines, or from your mobile phone by scanning the QR code on your AIB TAPPY wristband. Use your AIB TAPPY band across the festival site for food, drinks, merchandise, funfair rides, and extra activities!

COOKING / BBQ:

  • Barbecues can only be used in the designated cooking zone.
  • No gas barbecues.
  • No barbecues can be used in the main tent camping field or campervan field.
  • Dispose of barbecues and hot coals/ash in metal bins in the Back Lawn cooking zone.
  • Do not dispose of hot coals/ash in plastic bins.

CAMPING / CAMPERVAN / CARAVAN:

  • Car parks are beside the campsites and fill up quickly, so walking distance from car to tent can vary.
  • Caravans and campervans can use awnings but be mindful not to interfere with the space of fellow campers.
  • There are communal charging points but no electric hookups.
  • All camping gear, equipment, and vehicles must be cleared from the site by noon on Monday, July 1st. Please leave no trace to help protect and maintain the site.

FOOD & DRINK:

  • Festival-goers can bring their own food, soft drinks, and water, but no glass is allowed.
  • Bring reusable and refillable water bottles for the family; plenty of free drinking water points are available.
  • Alcohol brought beyond your tent is not permitted; any found will be confiscated and disposed of.
  • Day-ticket holders cannot bring their own alcohol.
  • Alcohol purchased at Kaleidoscope can be consumed anywhere on site.
  • Facilities in the campsite Babazone are available to heat up and sterilize baby bottles.

INCLUSIVITY:

All Abilities Ireland neurodiversity champions are working with the festival on its accessibility program and facilities. The All Abilities Sensory Tent is open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. It’s a fun and calming space with audio-visual, tactile, and messy play activities. Located in the east courtyard of Russborough House, on the way to the arena.
