CAR CAMPING TERMS & CONDITIONS - KALEIDOSCOPE FESTIVAL 2019

CAR CAMPING AREA

The Car Camping area is open from 9am on Friday 28 th June.

A Car Camping pass is for cars only.
A Car Camping pass allows the holder to drive their vehicle into a designated camping pitch on-site, and to pitch their tent beside their vehicle. Campervans or caravans will not be permitted into the car camping site. Any campervans/caravans that arrive to the car camping area will be refused admission.

Please note the following:

  • Car Camping pitches measure 3m x 9m.

  • One car and one tent are permitted per car camping pitch. Tents and personal belongings must stay within the borders of your pitch-Security will ask you to remove any items that do not comply with this.

  • You must park up and camp where assigned-there are no exceptions.

  • Security patrols will not permit sleeping in any vehicles in the car camping area.

  • Vehicle handbrakes must be applied at all times when parked in the car camping area.

  • There is NO water or electricity hook up available. There will be water points in the campsite for general use.

  • There are no e-car charging points on site.

  • Access and use of the car camping area are provided subject to these terms and conditions (T&C’s) and the general terms and conditions of entry to the event. Purchasing a permitconstitutes your acceptance of these T&C’S.

TICKETS/PASSES

  • Every member of your party intending to camp within your Car Camping plot must in addition hold a weekend camping ticket.

  • The Car Camping pass is a supplementary pass only and is sold per vehicle. The pass needs to be clearly displayed in the windscreen of your car on your arrival to site.

  • Each person staying within your pitch must have a valid weekend ticket and ONLY weekend camping ticket holders will be permitted into the car camping area.

  • Please note for Car Camping passes the purchaser will be required to bring the original proof of purchase and supporting ID to site along with their pass.  (This is to prevent touting of Car Camping passes).

  • Note: A Car Camping pass is for cars only. A campervan or caravan will not be permitted into the car camping site.

CARS AND ARRIVAL

  • Travel directions will be available on the website closer to the event. Please follow signage and travel directions for Car Camping.

  • On arrival, car camping stewards will direct you to your pitch. Multiple cars wishing to camp in sites next to each other must arrive in convoy. You should plan on meeting up prior to driving into camping. Under no circumstance will it be possible to save plots for later arrivals. Plots will be assigned on a first come first serve basis. Arrive together to camp together.

  • Cars will be searched upon arrival. By exhibiting this pass you are consenting to having your car searched by our security team. Any items listed in the Terms & Conditions for entry as banned Items will be confiscated.

FIRE AND SAFETY

  • No vehicles are to be parked in the fire lanes at any time. No tents are to be pitched in the fire lanes at any time.

  • Handbrakes must be applied on all stopped vehicles at all times.

  • You will not be permitted to sleep in your vehicle in the Car Camping area. The designated campervan/caravan area of the site is the only place where ticket holders can sleep in vehicles-we do not permit sleeping in cars anywhere.

  • Open fires are NOT permitted. The use of disposable BBQ’s and cooking stoves or any cooking equipment is NOT permitted in any area of Kaleidoscope Festival.

  • If it is necessary for you to drive out of the area over the weekend this must be a managed process. In the unlikely event that movement of your car camping car must occur, please make the stewards/security in the area aware before you move your car, and they will assist in guiding you out.

GENERAL

  • All vehicles will be checked on arrival to confirm that they are in compliance with these terms and conditions.

  • Your vehicle may be searched on entry to the event site.

  • The security staff will check for any items not permitted on site, as specified in the general Terms & Conditions of entry. Security staff will confiscate any such items and may refuse entry to the site. The discretion and decision of the security team will be final.

  • All litter must be cleared and put into bins or recycling bins.

  • Anyone resisting confiscation of disallowed items or disregarding the conditions set out in the Tickets Terms and Conditions and additionally the Car Camping conditions may face eviction.

  • No trading of any kind is permitted from vehicles.

  • No sound systems are to be operated in the car camping field. Anyone found operating such systems may be liable to eviction.

  • Excessive amounts of alcohol, food and cigarettes i.e. more than for personal consumption and any alcohol in the possession of anyone under 18 years of age is not permitted. STRICTLY NO GLASS IS ALLOWED.

  • No animals other than guide or hearing dogs are permitted on site.

  • The fields must be clear by 13:00PM on Monday 1 st July. All remaining vehicles will be removed.
