FIGHTING WORDS

Since opening its doors in Dublin in January 2009, Fighting Words has offered free creative writing programmes to hundreds of thousands of children, young people and adults. Now operating in locations all over Ireland, participants at our innovative, interactive and engaging workshops have the opportunity to explore their imaginations and create stories, plays, songs, graphic fiction and poems and more with the assistance and support of our team of staff, professional creative practitioners and volunteer writing mentors.

At Fighting Words, we believe that creativity is unbound and that joy and positivity are fundamental. Our workshops, after school clubs, summer camps and other writing projects are available to all free of charge and delivered as a community endeavour. We value creativity and imagination, positivity and excitement, equity and fairness and offer an environment that is supportive and nurturing, providing everyone with a voice, and are thrilled to be at Kaleidoscope Festival again this year.
