AIB TAPPY IS BACK!

AIB TAPPY HUB, Kaleidoscope Presented by Glenveagh 2024

TAPPY 2025 EXPLAINER & FAQs

Kaleidoscope Presented by Glenveagh is delighted to partner with AIB to bring TAPPY to Kaleidoscope Presented by Glenveagh 2025, offering festival families a convenient payment option across the whole festival

Your festival wristband will contain an RFID chip, which can be topped up in advance, on site at the AIB TAPPY Hub with our friendly tellers or self-serve top-up machines, or from your mobile phone by scanning the QR code on your AIB TAPPY wristband.

You can use your AIB TAPPY band across the festival site to pay for food, drinks, merchandise, funfair rides and extra activities!

Where can TAPPY payments be made?

TAPPY payments can be made at all food and beverage traders, retailers, bars, funfair rides and add-on activities across the festival.

How does it work?

AIB TAPPY is a super easy, secure and convenient way to pay across the whole weekend. The AIB TAPPY system also works offline, so no need to worry about connectivity!

Before the Festival

Before arriving at the Festival, you can set up your TAPPY account via the festival website or app by following the simple steps to pre-load your account.

Kaleidoscope Presented by Glenveagh’s helpful on-site team will scan your ticket on entry, give you a TAPPY wristband (which is also your festival wristband!) and link your pre-loaded TAPPY account to your wristband. You can use your TAPPY band straight away.

At the Festival

If you haven’t set up an AIB TAPPY account before you get onsite, don’t worry - it’s as simple as one, two, TAPPY!

Your RFID entry wristband will have a unique identifier number on the back.

Once you get onsite, just look for the AIB TAPPY QR codes - scan the code and it will take you straight to the AIB TAPPY setup page.

Fill in a few details, top up your wristband and you are ready to get tapping.

Every payment point onsite will be equipped with an AIB TAPPY terminal. You simply tap your wristband on the vendor’s terminal and the amount owed is automatically deducted from your wristband. Your AIB TAPPY wristband can be easily topped up at any time over the weekend, at the AIB TAPPY Hub or scanning the QR code on your wristband and using the fast top-up feature.

Topping Up

There are two ways to top up:

AIB TAPPY Hub

Make your way to the AIB TAPPY Hub in The Big Field. The AIB TAPPY tellers can exchange cash or card payments to top up your wristband for you. There are also automated teller machines at the TAPPY Hub which you can use to top-up with a card or contactless payment.

TAPPY TOWERS & Fast Top-Up

AIB TAPPY Towers with large QR codes will be positioned at key areas around the festival; simply scan the QR code to be brought to a top-up page.

This year, AIB TAPPY Wristbands will also be equipped with a QR code; simply scan your own wristband and follow the simple steps to top-up your wristband, directly from your own wrist!

FAQ

No, the AIB TAPPY wristband is also your festival entry wristband for the event, so everyone coming onsite will automatically get a AIB TAPPY wristband.

How and where do I top up my AIB TAPPY Wristband?

You can top up your AIB TAPPY wristband at the AIB TAPPY Hub by paying with card, cash or contactless at any point over the festival weekend. What happens if I run out of funds?

Don’t worry. If you run out, you can top up as many times as you’d like at the AIB TAPPY Hub or using the fast top-up feature on your wristband. There are no associated charges with topping up your AIB TAPPY wristband.

Has this been done before?

Yes! This is the third year of AIB TAPPY at Kaleidoscope Presented by Glenveagh, and it has grown from strength to strength, with improvements to the system and onsite facilities being made each year, in response to feedback from our audience.

The AIB TAPPY wristband isn’t replacing card or contactless payments for Kaleidoscope Presented by Glenveagh 2025, it’s just offering more options for our customers on how they can choose to manage their money. Replacing our standard festival entry wristbands with RFID AIB TAPPY wristbands in 2025 cuts down on the number of wristbands printed, and makes it more convenient for Kaleidoscope Presented by Glenveagh families to use AIB TAPPY this year.

What if I break my AIB TAPPY wristband?

The AIB TAPPY wristband is very secure, so it would be tough to lose and even tougher to break. But in the unlikely event that does happen, no problem! In the case of a wristband being broken, please keep it safe and take it straight to the AIB TAPPY Hub where our team will help you transfer funds onto a new wristband (subject to availability).

How do I get any unused funds back?

Unused funds will be available to claim back from 9am on 8th July until midnight on 29th July 2025 via the AIB TAPPY page on the Kaleidoscope Presented by Glenveagh website, and the app. The funds will be back into your account within 5-7 working days.

What will I do if my AIB TAPPY Wristband stops working?

No problem! Just make your way to an AIB TAPPY Hub where our trained TAPPY Tellers will be here to help. You can also email tappy@Kaleidoscopefestival.ie and we’ll be right with you as soon as possible.

Is the AIB TAPPY wristband meant for children too?

It certainly is! If your kids are starting to learn about budgeting and how to be responsible with their money, this is a great way to give them the independence of managing their own funds for the weekend, knowing that there won’t be any tears over misplaced cash. The AIB TAPPY wristband will track all of the purchases made throughout the weekend, so any questions you might have about what they’ve purchased can be answered by logging into your online AIB TAPPY account.
